My Mission?

To help women suffering from hormonal imbalances by teaching them how to regenerate and heal themselves through the practice of a yoga sequence created according to the principles of ‘Yoga Therapy’.

The symptoms of hormonal imbalances are numerous: menopausal, pre-menopausal and menstrual cycle disorders, digestive disorders, dysmenorrhoea, endometriosis, uterine polyps, ovarian cysts and fibroids, poor blood and lymph circulation, weight gain, osteoporosis, excessive sweating and hot flushes.

Disorders are also often neurological and emotional such as depression, ‘circular thoughts’, fits of anger, anxiety and insomnia (to name but a few).

Hi, my name is Kate, I am 47 years old and a certified yoga teacher.

I have dedicated many years of my life studying and applying yoga therapy, helping women through delicate phases of their lives using natural tools and personal investigation.

For years I suffered from various  gynaecological problems including endometriosis, uterine polyps and  dysmenorrhoea,  (a painful premenstrual syndrome) which I initially treated with traditional  medicine. Twice I chose to undergo surgery to remove uterine polyps. Not only did the polyps grow back after only 6 months, but my gynaecological picture had worsened as I developed a cyst in my left ovary and an endometriosis cyst behind my navel. At this point I was advised to have an even more invasive and permanent operation.

At that moment, I realised that the solution (for me) was neither surgery nor chemical hormone therapies.   To heal myself, I started studying and practising Hormonal Yoga.

 

I started researching and investigating alternative approaches and  found Hormonal Yoga provided the solution to my health problems  as well as  supporting me  through the delicate pre-menopausal period.

One year after starting my Hormonal Yoga practice, my (third) polyp is almost re-absorbed, and both cysts have disappeared!!! …. dysmenorrhoea and pre-menstrual syndrome which painfully marked my well-being for years,  are now a distant memory.

Inspired by these exceptional results, I started to share my testimony on the benefits of Hormonal Yoga, initially with my Yoga students and then with as many women as possible.

Hormonal Yoga acts on different levels:

Physiological:

reactivates the production of hormones and endocrine glands, reduces the intensity of menopausal symptoms and all gynaecological problems, and prevents various disorders caused by hormone deficiency

Physical:

strengthens muscles, corrects posture, increases flexibility and lightness of movement, reshapes the body and strengthens bones

Psychic:

helps manage stress, fights insomnia, depression and emotional imbalances

Energetic:

increases the level of vitality and well-being, increases the absorption of prāṇa (the vital energy)

Hormonal Yoga is a holistic therapy created to help women and their delicate health conditions.

 

Through a unique sequence of therapeutic yoga, a woman’s hormonal and neurological systems are reactivated and rebalanced. The sequence is inspired by a combination of specific Hatha and Tantra Yoga techniques.

 

With the daily practice of the Hormonal Yoga sequence, many women have found relief, and in some cases, resolution, of various disorders related to menopause and menstruation, fibroids, polyps, osteoporosis, endometriosis.

 

The asana sequence of Hormonal Yoga is dynamic and focused on female physiology; it supports the functioning of the endocrine glands, which are dedicated to the production of hormones, by stimulating the ovaries, adrenal glands, pituitary gland and thyroid through an internal massage.

 

A balanced and strong hormonal system has a beneficial impact on the health of the physical, mental and emotional body and on the general level of vitality.

Hormones are molecules that trigger reactions in the body, producing a biological response. The functions of hormones extend to all systems and devices by regulating:

 

  • homeostasis: the body’s ability to respond to stimulus produced by the external environment (changes in temperature, humidity, amount of light, seasonal changes) while maintaining balance
  • metabolism: all the transformations that enable life to be maintained within the cells of living organisms, including digestion, transport of substances within cells and between cells
  • water and electrolyte balance: the correct concentration of mineral salts within cells and in the extracellular medium
  • the fulfilment of biological cycles: sex hormones regulate the phenomena of puberty (and therefore the transition to adulthood), the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause.

 

In addition, the Hormonal Yoga sequence stimulates the glands that produce hormones: pancreas, adrenal glands, hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, epiphysis.

According to Yoga philosophy, the human being is a system composed of different dimensions (body, breath, mind, intellect and emotions) in constant interaction with each other.

 

When all dimensions are harmoniously integrated and balanced, the individual is in a ‘yoga state’, a state of general well-being.

 

Yoga therapy is therefore the process of enabling individuals to progress towards health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga.

 

Yoga has been included in the ‘mind-body techniques’ and is now considered in all respects a therapeutic technique that complements, but does not replace, medical-pharmacological techniques.

 

According to the ancient masters, ‘all yoga is therapeutic’, as its practice can influence a person’s life in a positive way and achieve better psychophysical conditions.

During the Hormonal Yoga workshop, you will learn the sequence that has guided me to a new state of general well-being.

Clinical studies on hormonal yoga practitioners have shown that the following are possible with daily practice:

During the workshop, you will learn ujjai and pranayama breathing techniques, mudras, bandhas, asanas (adapted to each student's anatomy) and all the elements that make up the sequence.

My goal: at the end of the workshop, all participants will be able to perform the sequence independently and will know pranayama tecniques useful for managing insomnia and emotional imbalances.

The workshop is suitable for:

Hormonal yoga workshop: how does it work?

The workshops take place either in person at specific venues or online if preferred. The number of participants is strictly limited to ensure individual attention

  • Receive preparation exercises

  • Have the opportunity to contact me directly with any queries for two weeks following the workshop

  • Receive my guidance and attention throughout the workshop, respecting your unique needs

  • Receive a study manual  that will help you to perform Hormonal Yoga sequences independently. The manual will be e-mailed  to you at the end of the workshop

  • Receive invitations to attend post-workshop classes, both in person and online, to practice together with other women of the community who, like you, have decided to enhance their lives through the practice of Hormonal Yoga

You will learn about your physiology and yoga, becoming so familiar with the sequence that you will be able to perform it with ease
